Two weeks ago my friend Stefan and I visited the wonderful Mediterranean town called Marbella. This town is the go to spot for luxury shopping Spain. Their are two areas in the Marbella the old town and Puerto Banus. The old town is where the averagely priced high street stores such as Mango are situated as well as the more traditional restaurants along the sea side promenade. Puerto Banus is the main hub of luxury goods in Marbella and has a gigantic El Corte Ingles at the Costa Marbella shopping centre opposite this there is the Marina Banus shopping centre. The key streets for shopping are those situated around the port which include Chanel, Hermes, Dolce & Gabbana and all the other luxury brands. Around the port is where one will find restaurants, bars and nightclubs. The port has over nine hundred docks including those for the King of Saudi Arabia. During my visit I made visits to almost all of the main brands. My friend Stefan bought me a very nice gift Gucci by Gucci Pour Homme at store on Muelle Ribeira and then later on in the week I bought the brand new fragrance by Hermes, Voyage d'Hermes. My favourite meals during the trip were the one I had at Santiago in the old town of Marbella and then at Jacks Puerto Banus which is an american style restaurant and then at the Hard Rock cafe Puerto Banus.

I spoke recently to the Hermes Customer Service people and they told that i should expect their annual sample to occur on June 18/19 and that it will once again be held at the Mayfair Music Rooms on South Molton Street. The sale is a great opportunity to by cheaper Hermes goods as the brand never holds sales. Items that are expected to be sold are mens ready to wear, women's ready to wear, shoes, hats and gloves
Louis Vuitton has been officially confirmed that the new Louis Vuitton Bond Street Maison store will be opening on May 28, 2010. The store will be the new United Kingdom flagship and will feature all of the Louis Vuitton lines. The ground floor will be devoted to women's accessories, glass stairs will lead down to the lower ground floor which will house the menswear department and mens accessories in a traditional English gentleman's club atmosphere. On the first floor there will be the women's ready to wear collections and also house women's shoes. Within the maison there will be a unique library. On the second floor of this flagship store there will be a by invitation only customer area. The store is apparently much like the Paris maison which which was the first. Finally the three year wait is over and London will finally have its own maison. The store is located in both the premises of the old Louis Vuitton store in New Bond Street and the old Donna Karan store which is now situated in nearby Conduit Street
I am becoming very excited about the summer holidays as I have just sent out emails possibly enabling me to apply for summer jobs at Louis Vuitton (hopefully the new Bond Street maison store), Hermes, Tiffany & Co, Chanel and Gucci.
Finally I have launched my blog !
